Indian Institute of Science & Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru jointly invite applications for the Summer Fellowship in Science and Engineering - 2020 for students belonging to SC/ST.
Eligibility: Applicants belonging to SC or ST and studying in the 1^st year M.Sc. in Biological / Physical / Chemical / Mathematical Sciences OR 3^rd year BE/BTech/equivalent in any discipline during the academic year 2019-20 are eligible to apply. Those who have already participated in the Summer Fellowship Programme OR already obtained M.Sc./BE/BTech/equivalent degrees are not eligible. Duration of the Programme : One month (June/July)	Financial Support: IISc. will provide: - Travelling allowance equivalent to 2^nd Class sleeper train fare from nearest station of college/residence to IISc. and back. - Free boarding and lodging (on sharing basis) at IISc. - Fellowship of Rs 5,000/- and a book grant of Rs.1,500/- Features of the Programme: Selected candidates will work with one of the faculty members of IISc and learn various techniques used in research.  Last date for submission of filled in application form is 20^th May, 2020.
Interested applicants are advised to fill-in the online application by logging on to the web site: www.iisc.ac.in. After submitting the online application, the applicant should take a print out of the application form, sign the form, affix latest passport size color photograph and obtain the signature of the Principal of the College for the Study Certificate in the application. Applicant has to upload the scanned PDF or Jpg format of the application to the online portal.
