Welcome to the Admissions Website for IISc! This website has information related to the admissions process for the August 2022 admissions cycle. The key pages are listed below. You can also access these links and other details from the menus.

We have several new programmes that have been launched this year. A new B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing has been started with selection based on JEE (Advanced) Exam. An M.Sc. coursework-based programme is being offered in Life Sciences and in Chemical Sciences. Lastly, the M.Tech. course programme is also being offered in the Bioengineering discipline.

  • Updation of JEE (Main) 2022 Exam details: The last for updating JEE(Main) 2022 National Entrance exam for Four Year Bachelor’s of Science(Research) Programme is extended till 18 August 2022. (Updated on Aug 16, 2022)
  • The last date for online submission of Application form for B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing programme is extended till 13 September 2022(website closes at 23:59 hours of 13.9.2022) (Updated on Aug 16, 2022)
  • Updation of JEE (Main) 2022 Exam details: Applicants who have applied for admission to the Bachelor of Science(Research) through the JEE(Main) 2022 National Entrance exam must ensure that they have updated their application number and Rank on the admission portal by 16 August 2022. To view the procedure to update the national entrance result click here. Applicants who have applied through JEE (Advanced) and NEET UG mode of Entry will be allowed to update the national entrance exam result later once the final results of these exams will be announced (Updated on Aug 10, 2022)
  • Updation of KVPY Exam details: Applicants who have applied for admission to the Bachelor of Science(Research) through the KVPY National Entrance exam must ensure that they have updated their application number and Rank on the admission portal by 11 July 2022. To view the procedure to update the national entrance result click here. Applicants who have applied through JEE Main, JEE (Advanced) and NEET UG mode of Entry will be allowed to update the national entrance exam result later once the final results of these exams will be announced (Updated on Jul 06, 2022)

  • Research Programmes: Selected candidates in Regular Research Programme [ PhD and M.Tech(Research)] and Integrated PhD programme can download the Offer letter by logging onto the admission portal under available downloads. Please note that no separate communication will be done with the applicants who are not selected.

  • Research admission: Applicants who have applied for Research admission through the JEST-2022 exam, to ensure that they updated their Rank scored in the JEST exam by 18 April 2022 using the option” Update Your National Entrance Result” provided in the applicant interface.     Note: In case an applicant has scored a cutoff higher than the one indicated and they have not received a call letter/email communication for a written test/ interview, the applicant may please send an email immediately to the Assistant Registrar, Academic Section at ar.acad@iisc.ac.in, admission office at admission.acad@iisc.ac.in and also to the chair of the concerned department to which they had applied on or before 10 April 2022.

  • The option to update the national entrance test results (e.g., GATE, JAM, etc.) for candidates who have applied to the post-graduate degree programmes (Research and Course Programmes) will open on 23 March, 2022.
