IISc accorded Institution-of-Eminence Status by the Ministry of HRD

IISc is one of six institutes in India selected under the prestigious IoE (Institutions-of-Eminence) initiative of the Ministry of HRD. The Union HRD Minister, Hon’ble Shri. Prakash Javadekar had the following to say about IISc in his official tweet:” Congratulations to IISc, Bangalore, which has been our real pride. This institute has been ranked in world ranking. It has the scope to improve further. Though it is a public sector institute, it is being granted full autonomy to become a really world class institute and find out new opportunities.”
