-100th volume of the Journal of the Indian Institute of Science

The Journal of the Indian Institute of Science will be publishing its Volume 100, issue 1 dated January-March 2020. This issue will focus on Hydrogen Bonding, which controls the important properties of the molecules of life water and DNA. The year 2020 marks the centenary of an important paper published by Latimer and Rodebush in 1920. The issue has 16 articles written by experts who have made important contributions to the field. A two-day workshop on hydrogen bonding is being organized by Prof. E. Arunan, Guest Editor of the issue. There will be 21 talks given by some of the Authors and other experts. The Workshop on 9th January will be held in the Faculty Hall and on the 10th January it will be held at the MRC Auditorium.
On 9th January 2020, there will be a special function to launch the Volume 100, Issue 1 of the Journal of the Indian Institute of Science. Prof. CNR Rao, Linus Pauling Research Professor and Honorary President, JNCASR will be releasing the Issue. Prof. Anurag Kumar, Director IISc, will be presiding over the function. Several of the past Editors of the Journal will be attending the meeting. All are welcome for this function.
