Governance in India (Poster)
Abstract: The lecture will foreground some of the key issues and challenges to governance in India in their contemporary and historical context. It will focus on how the Government of India works and relates to the people. Drawing from his UG-IISc humanities course “Introduction to Governance in India”, the speaker will elaborate on the defense and security situation, COVID-19 and the government’s response including vaccinations, economic consequences of the lockdown, measures to restore the economy and developments.
