Location: Seminar Hall (Triangle Room)/FACS Facility
The Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) or Flow Cytometry is a highly acclaimed advanced technology for multi-parametric and accurate analysis of physical and functional characterization of cells. The usefulness of the technology is clearly evident from its capability to characterize one cell at a time, at an
extremely high speed. The high throughput analysis helps in evaluating up to several hundred thousand cells in a few seconds and reveals the hidden information from rare cell types. Present workshop is meant to impart the technical know-how to the participants about the principles of FACS, sample preparations, analysis and interpretation. It covers various applications like multicolor immunophenotyping and panel designing; cell Proliferation and apoptosis. Only selected participants will be allowed for hand-on training.
Everybody is welcome for talks/lectures.
