Abstract: The talk will describe, briefly, why and, more elaborately, how, I made a transition from research to science communication. I will talk about key influences and support systems I had. I will also discuss the initial challenges and the rewards I have seen in the course of my 12-year stint in science journalism and finish with where I am now and how I feel I still can improve.
