ENGINEERS’ DAY, instituted by the leading Engineering Professional Society “The Institution of Engineers (India)”, is being celebrated all over the country to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya on 15th September, every year. The occasion is utilized to honour Distinguished Personalities of the profession in recognition of their meritorious services in their fields of specialization.
Dr T V Ramachandra, Senior Scientific Officer, Centre for Ecological Sciences, Associate Faculty, Centre for infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation and Urban Planning [CiSTUP], Centre for Sustainable Technologies (astra), has been selected unanimously by the selection committee for conferring this year’s `Eminent Engineer’ Award at IEI, Karnataka, premises on the occasion of 52nd Engineers’ Day Celebrations on 15 Sept 2019 at 6 pm.
