POLICE REGISTRATION

DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED FOR REGISTRATION OF STUDENTS/ RESEARCHERS

Registration with Police/Residential Permit

  • All foreigners arriving at the Institute who are likely to stay for more than 180 days in India have to report to Police (Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City, Bangalore) within 14 days from the date of arrival in India (not the date of arrival in Bangalore). You need to bring six passport size photos and your passport to the IRC Office. The remaining documents listed below will be provided by the IRC office.
  • A sum of $ 30/- (its equivalent in Indian Rupees) has to be paid in the event of failure to report within 14 days at State Bank of Mysore, Lady Curzon Road, Bangalore in Indian Currency.
  • The following documents have to be filed for obtaining Residential Permit:-
    1. Presence of the foreigner before the FRO for registration
    2. Reporting Form – In the proforma  – Single Copy
    3. Registration Certificate in the Proforma  – 1+3 Copies
    4. Xerox Copies of Passport with Visa page/PIO Card Page – 1+1 Copies
    5. Passport  Size Photographs – 6 Nos.
    6. Bonafide certificate from the educational Institution for students admitted to Academic/Professional/Research and other courses – 1+1 Copies

 DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED FOR REGISTRATION ON EMPLOYMENT VISA

REGISTRATION WITH POLICE/RESIDENTIAL PERMIT

    7. Financial Guarantee Affidavit (link) issued by the Employer Firm on a 20/- Rupees Stamped Document Sheet(available at State Bank of Mysore) attested by a Notary (along with Guarantor’s Indentity Proof/PANCard/Passport Copy, Signatory Authority or Certificate of incorporation).  – 1+1 copies
    8. Proof of Local residence – 1+1 Copies

DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED FOR REGISTRATION OF HOUSE WIVES

The following documents have to be filed for obtaining Residential Permit

  1. Presence of the foreigner before the FRO for registration
  2. Reporting Form – In the proforma – Single Copy
  3. Registration Certificate in the Proforma – 1+3 Copies
  4. Xerox Copies of Passport with Visa page/PIO Card Page – 1+1 Copies
  5. Passport  Size Photographs – 6 Nos.
  6. For house wives married to Foreign nationals and to stay with husband in India, husband’s RC & RP copy. – 1+1 copies
  7. Financial Guarantee Affidavit (link) issued by an Employer Firm on a 20/- Rupees Stamped Document Sheet(available at State Bank of Mysore) attested by a Notary (along with Guarantor’s Indentity Proof/PANCard/Passport Copy, Signatory Authority or Certificate of incorporation). – 1+1 copies
  8. Proof of Local residence – 1+1 Copies
